This roaster produces great tasting coffee. Easy to use, just put in your 5-6 ounces (approx. 2 scoops) of green coffee and choose your profile. Make sure to hit the cool button when your desired roast is achieved. This roaster allows you to create your own profiles and save them to the unit (up to 10 profiles). You can break each profile into 5 roast stages.

This is the new and improved Hearthware I-Roast 2 roaster with several key features:
-- Built-in 10 memory function. The user can save, recall, or delete up to 10 roast profiles.
-- Allows you to create profiles with anywhere between 1-5 roast stages.
-- Includes smoke adapter that uses dryer hose to help vent this roaster.

There have been multiple enhancements to the reliability of the roaster.
-- The fit of the chaff collector lid to the chaff collector base is now much tighter.
-- The chaff collector screen fits snugly onto the protrusion groove inside the chaff collector base so more chaff is collected including the finer ones.
-- The fitting of the chaff collector base onto the roasting pot is improved. A locking mechanism is devised to promote a much tighter seal.
-- The thermoflector connection to the roasting pot is strengthened.
-- This unit roasts 5.3oz (up to 150g) of beans. This is enough beans for up to 24 cups of coffee. You can roast all types of Green Coffee Beans.

• User can set up roasting curves(up to ten profiles that you can save), or use preset roasting curves: At each of the five roasting stages, temperature is accurately controlled. This is a function that only the most sophisticated machines have. This is the very first time it has been used in a home roaster.
• Accurate roasting time and temperature adjustment: Roasting time can be changed by 1 second and roasting temperature can be adjusted by 5°F or 2°C increments.
• Check the roasting temperature during the roasting cycle: Built-in function for users to check the roasting temperature: no need for thermometers any more. It gives the user a clear idea of the inside temperature.
• Increase/decrease roasting time during roasting: It gives the user the flexibility of controlling the final roasting results.

A directed stream of hot air moves upward through the beans, both roasting and mixing the beans to provide an even roast. The airstream then carries the chaff away from the roasted bean and moves it into the collector surrounding the top neck of the roasting pot, safely away from the roasted beans. The final minutes of the roasting cycle are a special cool down mode (roasting requires temperatures in the neighborhood of 450 degrees), which cools the beans and the roaster to a comfortable temperature.
